Some Points of Interest Missions: This is a mission-minded church. Since I came to serve as pastor here seven years ago, God has called out eight men into ministry. Each is serving in some capacity in various churches. One is a new church planter of a mission we sponsored two and a half years ago. That mission is doing exceptionally well. Each year we take at least one, and sometimes several, mission trips and we are involved with local mission activities. Ministries: We have a varied age group which involves numerous ministries for our children through our seniors. While we have age-appropriate activities and programs for each, we make sure that there are many cross-over activities. Staff: While we are not necessarily a large church, God has blessed us with a staff of many years of experience. It truly is a joy as a pastor to work with people that are committed to the Lord, His work and His family of believers. Welcome to the First Baptist Church of Hillsboro website. Thank you for taking the time to see what we're all about. Ours is a church community that is 114 years "young". It is a loving, friendly and family-style church steeped in tradition, but open to the Lord's flexibility and leading. Christ is supreme as the Bridegroom of His Church. The Bible is God's perfect and inerrant Word and we stand firm on the call to reach the lost, build up the Body of Believers and focus on the spirit of worship. In all that we do, we seek to glorify God. While we cherish and treasure the past and look forward to a promising future, we strive to work every day to expand the Kingdom.
